Can I Purchase Ski Insurance Together with My Ski Pass?
Yes. When purchasing your ski pass, you can also add Snowcare ski insurance.
Since January 1, 2022, Italian law requires skiers to have third-party liability (RC) insurance to access ski lifts and slopes without risking penalties.
Ski insurance is always an optional add-on and is not included automatically in the price of your ski pass.
For full details of the policy, including coverage limits and benefits, please refer to the Insurance Information Document.
If you have already purchased a ski pass without adding insurance, you can still purchase Snowcare coverage directly from the Snowcare website.
If you already have another insurance policy that covers skiing activities, you do not need to purchase additional insurance with your ski pass. Simply keep proof of your insurance with you, as it may be requested by resort staff or the relevant authorities (such as the police) during inspections.
How to File a Claim with Snowcare Ski Insurance
As described in the Insurance Information Document, in the event of illness, an accident/injury, or quarantine, the insurance company may reimburse the cost of the unused portion of your ski pass, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy.
Important: In the event of an accident on the slopes, the insurance policy requires that the official on-slope rescue service be called in order for the insurance coverage to apply.
You can find your policy number in the Insurance section of your order confirmation email. It is formatted like this:
24h.xx.xxxxx
